Hello again, I posted here earlier because I couldn’t structure i3 spans due to a missing package. This was fixed, but something was still wrong with my delivery team or my Nvidia settings.

I kept typing Compton, but when I try to run it, I get a serious error:

failed to initialize glx extension nvidia

When I try to run `nvidia-settings` I also get a popup saying that the correct driver is not considered to be installed.

failed to initialize glx extension nvidia

My /etc/X11/xorg.conf file is currently empty, so I can at least get started with X, but I suspect it has to do with using part of the Intel graphics card. The NVIDIA Optimus page suggests adding the following, but I just get a black screen.

$ compton -bglx_init(): no glx extension.
